Last year, on my birthday, Pantone announced Radiant Orchid would be its 2014 Color of the Year (although I’m almost certain the fact that it was my birthday did not figure prominently in their decision to announce it that day. Almost certain.). Anyway, I’ve been enjoying seeing the ways designers, makers, and other super-cools have been incorporating the hue into our everyday, web-centered worlds. Now that I’m aware of it, I can’t stop seeing it. You know, how when you start looking at Volvos because you’re thinking about getting a Volvo, and then everywhere you go you see every Volvo on the road? Exactly.
